Depression can feel overwhelming, but there are practical steps you can take to find peace, even in the darkest moments

Here are five ways you can begin to heal:


  1. Acknowledge Your Feelings– It’s okay to not be okay. Embrace your feelings without judgment.


2. Connect with Support – Reach out to trusted friends, family, or a counselor for guidance and support.


3. Lean into Faith – Turn to prayer or scripture for comfort. Psalms 42:5 reminds us, "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God."


4. Practice Self-care – Taking care of your body through rest, nutrition, and exercise can improve your mental health.


5. Set Small Goals – Focus on manageable tasks each day to give yourself a sense of accomplishment and hope.


Each step moves you closer to healing and restoration.
